Compact converters for medical applications

XP Power’s IMM series of 1- and 2- watt dc-dc converters include the IMM01 1 W and the IMM02 2 W converters that are designed for use in medical applications. The IMM01 and IMM02 are available with a choice of two 2:1 input voltage ranges based around a nominal 5 and 12 Vdc inputs. The IMM01 uses a SIP7 footprint and measures 0.76 x 0.42 x 0.36 in. The SIP8 2 Watt IMM02 is 0.86 x 0.42 x 0.36 in. A remote on/off input pin allows external control of the converter operation from a host application such as to sequence startup.
