IRM surpasses on-demand BI milestone: selection by 20th food & beverage manufacturer

Vendor of business intelligence (BI), forecasting, promotion management, and analytics solutions to the food & beverage industry reports 20 customers that have selected its fully hosted on-demand trade spend management solution, called PromoAssist.

IRM Corp ., a vendor of business intelligence (BI), forecasting, promotion management, and analytics solutions to the food & beverage industry, now reports 20 customers that have selected its fully hosted on-demand trade spend management solution, called PromoAssist.
Trade spend management is a significant issue for food & beverage manufacturers. With average trade spend and promotion expense at or above 10 percent of revenues, it is often the second-largest controllable expense for producers of much of the nation's food and beverage supply. The ability for these manufacturers to better and more effectively manage this significant expense is of paramount interest to most manufacturers within the vertical.
"We're quite pleased to see the continued success of PromoAssist as the trade spend management solution-of-choice by many of the food & beverage industry's leading manufacturers," says Dean Abrams, president/COO of IRM. "Each year, a greater percentage of our core customer base is adding PromoAssist to their suite of IRM's software-as-a-service offerings."
In related news, IRM is well under way in its development of a fully hosted on-demand version of its flagship business intelligence solution, Discovery System. The hosted version will be available in addition to its current thick-client version, enabling users to access the system via the web and/or on a portable, offline basis. Art Harding, CEO of IRM, commented, "Having years of hosted on-demand experience with our PromoAssist solution is allowing us to successfully migrate Discovery System, our business intelligence product, to a hosted environment with a projected high adoption rate. Many of our customers are positioning themselves to take advantage of this enhanced version as soon as it is available."
