Renton, Wa. —Quadrus EZ reads linear bar codes and 2D symbols used to track components and printed circuit boards. 2D codes include more data in a smaller area; this scanner/reader allows users to make a future switch from bar code to 2D with minimal change over. Set-up is in two steps. An illuminated field of view locator allows the user to quickly align the reader to the symbol in a matter of seconds without use of video monitors or a PC. Once the symbol is aligned, the user pushes the “auto” button located on the back. Quadrus EZ will automatically calibrate on the symbol. It features Ethernet and USB connectivity plus capabilities for live video output and adding an external camera. www.microscan.com Microscan
