Round Rock, TX—Weed Instrument reports that it has introduced a new, permanently installed sensor, Accu-Temp Type MWR, which is designed to measure tank temperature while determining the interface level between the tank’s water bottom and product.
Round Rock, TX— Weed Instrument reports that it has introduced a new, permanently installed sensor that is designed to measure tank temperature while determining the interface level between the tank’s water bottom and product.
The company says its Accu-Temp Type MWR tank temperature measurement sensor provides average or spot temperature readings, while continuously indicating water/product interface. Though reportedly lightweight for easier installation, the sensor is built of corrosion-resistant stainless steel or Monel. Accu-Temp Type MWR can be used in tanks as high as 150 ft (50 m).
Designed for direct immersion in the product in a tank, Accu-Temp Type MWR requires only one entry opening in its tank. Various tank entry connections and terminal enclosures are available.
The sensor’s averaging temperature curve can be either 100-ohm copper or 100-ohm DIN platinum-characterized copper. Its spot temperature curve may be either 100-ohm copper or 100-ohm DIN platinum.
In addition, a water bottom probe is available without the temperature sensing elements. The water interface data provided by the probe can be used to calculate net barrels or to schedule water draw-off operations.
