Motion Tech Trends (MTT), a research and consultancy firm serving electric motor and motion control industries, is developing expert system tools for its subscriber-based Web site to aid users and specifiers of electric motion components in making more informed purchases. Component Selector expert system—the first of these tools—will “offer advanced, yet easy-to-use functions for engineers to search for motion component solutions to their application needs,” says George Gulalo, MTT’s president. Manufacturers’ motor specifications are needed to populate the database.
MTT can add your motor specs to ComponentSelector’s database by providing data-capture tools. The database accommodates specifications and characteristics for all types of electric motors, including brush dc, brushless dc, stepper, ac induction, switched reluctance, rotary, and linear. Besides users, product manufacturers also stand to benefit from quality, low-cost sales leads from participation in this online service, says MTT. If you are a motor manufacturer, please contact MTT for specifics and details of this project.
