Kepware Technologies recently released a new OPC diagnostics feature for its KepServerEx OPC server. This diagnostics feature provides a real-time and historical view of OPC events occurring between any OPC client and KepServerEx.
To help troubleshoot specific client/server issues the OPC diagnostics system has many filtering and search capabilities. Events and details captured by this tool work for all OPC interfaces supported by KepServerEx.
"These new diagnostic capabilities will be tremendously helpful to users during the commissioning phase of their projects," says Mark Hensley, Kepware’s president. "Because it’s built in to KepServerEx, the OPC diagnostics feature can be turned on and off by users as needed without any change to the application, unlike many tools that require data collection to stop."
In addition, Kepware also has released its new Sattbus Ethernet OPC device driver for use with KepServerEx. Sattbus Ethernet driver is used with Sattcon devices communicating via the SattBus Ethernet interface.
