AEA Technology announced July 1 that it's acquiring northern California-based EA Systems Inc., which produces plant life-cycle management software and solutions for physical plant design. This is AEA's fifth acquisition in the engineering software market in 16 months. The company's engineering software division already includes Hyprotech Ltd.
AEA Technology announced July 1 that it’s acquiring northern California-based EA Systems Inc., which produces plant life-cycle management software and solutions for physical plant design. This is AEA’s fifth acquisition in the engineering software market in 16 months. The company’s engineering software division already includes Hyprotech Ltd., which supplies integrated process simulation software. As separately operating businesses within AEA, EA Systems and Hyprotech will work closely to develop and market integrated Plant Lifecycle Solutions for the process field. For example, Hyprotech’s Hysys engineering environment, which includes a product suite for process design and plant operations, will be combined with EA’s Pasce suite, which has physical plant design and data management capabilities.
