ABB to deliver IndustrialIT for Reliance Industries

Hazira, India - The petrochemical division of Reliance Industries Limited, India chose ABB (Rochester N.Y.) on April 15, 2002 to supply IndustrialIT Open Control for its new polyester plant being built at its petrochemical complex in Hazira, Gujarat, India.

Hazira, India – The petrochemical division of Reliance Industries Limited, India chose ABB (Rochester N.Y.) on April 15, 2002 to supply IndustrialITOpen Control for its new polyester plant being built at its petrochemical complex in Hazira, Gujarat, India. The order includes ABB operator stations, AC460 controllers, and S800 I/O devices.

Reliance is setting up a new polyester plant for manufacture of polyester staple fiber and yarn. The Hazira plant is said to be one of the world’s largest integrated petrochemical complexes with more than 22 plants including a naphtha cracker and polypropylene, monoethylglycol, polyethylene manufacturing facilities. ABB will design, engineer, and supply the control system based on its IndustrialITplatform. Reliance Hazira has one of the largest installed bases of ABB open control with more than 200 nodes/subsystems at this site.
