Westwood, Mass. – To obtain high performance, direct-drive linear motors require acceleration to several ‘Gs’ for short-duration, typically in the 50-100 msec range. Model 7225X1-50 servo amplifier supplies the higher level of peak current needed-rrent, according to Copley Controls. Electrical isolation between signal and motor drive circuits allows Model 7225X1-50 to run on simple rectified ac line power. Pricing is under $375 for 100-249 units.
