They've been designed to provide high torque with either low- or high-rotor inertia and minimal cogging torque.

Andover, Hants, U.K. —Unimotor line of brushless ac servo motors consists of three-phase, six- or eight-pole, permanently excited synchronous motors exhibiting a sinusoidal back-EMF characteristic. They’ve been designed to provide high torque with either low- or high-rotor inertia and minimal cogging torque. Thermal performance is improved using a “finned” motor housing made from a high-strength alloy casting. Radial fins increase the natural convection from the motor surface.
