CQ28 programmable capacitive sensor from SICK features a thin, sleek design with a flat housing that offers numerous mounting options and room for two LEDs. Teach-in functionality is available through the control wire or push-button. LEDs show current switching state and quality of detection. PNP and NPN switching output versions are available in the same product. CQ28 detects liquids and bulk materials through non-metallic walls in sensing distances up to 10 mm. Applications include fill-level detection in tanks, containers, or pipe systems. Enhanced electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) prevents spurious switching caused by interfering surge voltages that can come from electrostatically charged granulate in bulk material silos, mobile telephones, radio devices, magnetic valves, and frequency converters. Unit has an IP68 housing.
