Erlangen, Germany —The annual general assembly of the CAN in Automation (CiA) international users’ and manufacturers’ group was held in March 2006. The 420-member group elected the three-member board: Arnulf Lockmann as business director, Heinz-Jürgen Oertel as technical director, and Holger Zeltwanger as managing director. There are no changes to last year’s board of directors. The plenary meeting also elected the permanent representatives of the Business Comittee (Esd Electronic, MTU Friedrichshafen, Port, Softing und Schneider Electric) and the Technical Committee (Esd Electronic, Ixxat Automation, Janz Automationssysteme, Schneider Electric und Vector Informatik).
