Clip art simplifies creating P&IDs
CD contains clip-art files of standard P&ID symbols usable with CAD programs that match standards for uniform diagram use.
If you’ve ever had to hunt to find P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagram) symbols or worse yet, tried to draw them from scratch, you’ll appreciate the ISA-5 P&ID Clip Symbols Version 2.0 collection . This CD is a must for engineering and construction firms, instrument engineers, technicians, and anyone else who develops P&IDs. Using the symbols from this collection will help ensure greater accuracy, consistency, and speed.
Symbols on the CD are designed to conform to the following ISA standards:
• ISA-5.1-1984 (R1992) Instrumentation Symbols and Identification;
• ISA-5.2-1976 (R1992) Binary Logic Diagrams for Process Operations;
• ISA-5.3-1983 Graphic Symbols for Distributed Control/Shared Display Instrumentation, Logic and Computer Systems; and
• ISA-5.4-1991 Instrument Loop Diagrams.
The symbols have been converted to clip art format and furnished in .DWG, .WMP, and .DXF file formats, allowing them to be used with Visio, AutoCAD, and most other CAD software platforms. They can also be used with many other software applications including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
The CD is available at the ISA Website . You’ll find an extensive collection of books there too.
