Fredricktown, O. —Divelbiss Custom Controller now runs under the IEC 1131-3 programming standard using ISaGraf Workbench for Windows. All five languages described by IEC 1131-3 (ladder diagram, instruction list, structured text, function block diagram, and sequential function chart) are supported. Benefits of the standard are reusable software, uniform programming, structured configuring, and uniform formulation of declarations. A feature of the standard is the assignment of default initial values to each data type. Elements with global scope, which must be declared, are differentiated from local elements.
