Model MCU Coriolis mass flowmeter from Fluid Components Intl. is intended for custody transfer, production line batching, and test stand measurement.

San Marcos , CA —Model CMU Coriolis mass flowmeter from Fluid Components International is said to deliver more than twice the industry standard flow rate than previously available. Combining large line size service, high flow rate capability, and measurement accuracy, the meter is designed for line sizes from 0.25 to 12 in. (DN 8 to 300) and measures flow rates from 2.2 to 80,800 lb/min (60 to 2,200,000 kg/hr). Multivariable process measurement tool handles fluid temperature, density, and volumetric flow.

CMU features a “U”-tube flow sensor design with a lightweight tube, minimal welding, and vibration dampening technology. It reportedly achieves higher long-term mechanical reliability and lower installation costs compared to other Coriolis devices. Accuracy range is 0.1 to 0.15% in liquids (depending on line size) and 0.5% in gases (

A ruggedized, full-featured transmitter is available to support the meter. Unit comes blind or with an integral two-line digital LCD. Standard outputs include dual 4-20 mA, one standard with HART communications, a frequency/pulse output of total flow, and a binary output of instrument status. CT can mounted integral with the transmitter or remote up to 1,000 ft away. CMU serves a broad range of applications in chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, and other industries.
