Rogers, AR— Delta Systems Inc. reports that Mary Ann’s Bakery recently selected its automated feeding and wrapping system for its Sacramento, CA-based facility. The $525,000 system feeds assorted products to automatic high-speed wrappers, and consists of Delta’s soft touch in-feed mechanisms combined with its high-speed horizontal flow wrappers and distribution lines.
The bakery’s high-performance packaging equipment is further enhanced by Delta’s SoftFlow scalable, motion control software. SoftFlow allows customers to create multiple ‘one-touch’ changeovers on a packaging line. Delta manufactures automation and motion control solutions for the consumer products industry.
‘We selected Delta because of their experience with controls technology and proven success assuming total system responsibility with automated packaging,” says Andy Demas, engineering manager at Mary Ann’s Bakery. “Also, the modular design of their system combined with Delta’s open architecture software and controls platform, SoftFlow, allows for easy future expansion, flexibility and increased capability over the life of the equipment.’
Jake Bushey, Delta’s president and CEO, adds that, ‘We’re pleased to welcome Mary Ann’s Bakery as our newest customer, and look forward to a continuing relationship in the future.’
Other customers that have selected Delta’s automation equipment and SoftFlow software during the past year include: Cloverhill Bakery Inc., Con Agra Foods Inc., Flowers Foods Inc., General Mills Inc., Kellogg Company, Hershey Foods Corp., Interstate Bakeries Corp., Kraft Foods Inc., McKee Foods Corp., Sara Lee Corp. and Tyson Foods Inc.
