Elections: Fieldbus, SI groups select officers, board members

Exton , PA, and Austin, TX— Two large industrial organizations recently elected new officers and board members. The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) voted in Robert Zeigenfuse as president and chief executive officer, and the Fieldbus Foundation elected Dr. Graeme Philp as vice-chairman of its EMEA Executive Advisory Council (EAC).

A founding member of CSIA , Zeigenfuse assumed the new role at the 14th Annual CSIA Executive Conference, held at Santa Fe, New Mexico and begins a two-year term. At that meeting, four members also were elected to the association’s executive board. They include:

• Brian Beaufeaux, Industrial Automation Engineering, Inc., Ham Lake, MN

• Ed Diehl, Concept Systems, Inc., Albany, OR

• Steve Goldberg, Matrix Technologies, Inc., Maumee, OH

• John Justus, Bay-Tec Engineering, Inc., Napa, CA

They join Jim Campbell, Viewpoint Systems, Inc., Rochester, NY, and Dean Streck, VI Engineering, Inc., Farmington Hills, MI, whose terms on the board continue. Walt Kozikowski of Rosslyn, VA-based National Electrical Manufacturers Association, serves as CSIA secretary. Norman O’Leary is the association’s executive director, based in Exton, PA.

The Fieldbus Foundation elected Dr. Graeme Philp as vice-chairman of its EMEA Executive Advisory Council. Dr. Philp is chief executive of the MTL Instruments Group plc, based in Luton, UK, and has been a member of the EMEA EAC since its founding in February 2005. Elections took place at the annual meeting held during the Interkama 2007 international trade fair in Hannover, Germany.

Other council participants include: Dr. Gunther Kegel, Pepperl+Fuchs, as council chairman, Jürgen Fuchs, ABB; Jim Nyquist, Emerson Process Management; Dr. Raimund Sommer, Endress+Hauser; Dr. Georg Schneider, Hirschmann; Christopher Dartnell, Honeywell; Alain Ginguene, Invensys; Mike O’Neill, Moore Industries; Mick Grange, Rockwell Automation; Dr. Peter Völker, R. Stahl; Dr. Wolfgang Trier, Softing; and Harry Hauptmeijer, Yokogawa.

“I’m looking forward to having a higher level of involvement within the EAC,” says Dr. Philip. “The council’s role is dynamic and challenging.
