Among those specifying, recommending, and/or buying electric servo motors, 77% do so for in-plant requirements and 39% buy for OEM requirements.
Executive Summary
Assembly lines are the primary application for electric servo motors among those surveyed. On average, 52% of respondents’ electric servo motor applications are new applications.
Seventy-eight percent of respondents currently use electric servo motors with power/size ratings of up to 1kW. Results suggest that it will continue to be the most common power/size rating one year from now.
Thirty-one percent of survey participants currently use linear servo motors, and 27% plan to use them in the next year.
