Ember to launch new products, services, partnerships

Ember Corp. reports that it will unveil several new ZigBee-related products, partnerships, and services in 2005 to help users to build new ZigBee wireless solutions.

Ember Corp . reports that it will unveil several new ZigBee-related products, partnerships, and services in 2005 to help users to build new ZigBee wireless solutions. Ember is a wireless semiconductor solutions provider. ZigBee is a wireless, standards-based radio technology that meets the needs of remote monitoring and control and sensor network applications. The company’s new ZigBee products include:

A ZigBee semiconductor system that integrates greater functionality, provides more application memory space, and offers ultra-low power requirements;

Volume production of Ember’s ZigBee solutions for home control and automation, automatic meter reading, building and industrial controls, and other applications;

A compliant ZigBee network stack that is in the final phase of standards compliance testing;

Application-specific extensions for ZigBee networks to accelerate application development;

Classroom courses added to Ember University’s curriculum. These will include new vertical market focused classes, such as home control and automation;

Customer support plans that will provide more options and flexibility for small development shops and large OEM customers; and

More tools added to the Ember Development Kit geared toward enabling high-volume production and lower total cost of ownership of OEM development efforts.
