Lean Managed Switch (LMS) from Phoenix Contact

is a compact, powerful, economical managed Ethernet switch that provides managed functions for users who want more capability than unmanaged switches provide, but who find managed switches with full functionality too expensive.

Phoenix Contact’s Lean Managed Switch provides Ethernet cost savings.

The LMS supports SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol, RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) Snooping and easy Web-based management capability. The features make it easier to add network configuration capabilities, remote monitoring and diagnostics, and integral IT-compatible network redundancy.

An E version is available for use in EtherNet/IP applications, where multicast traffic is a concern. The E LMS has a default-enabled IGMP Snooping and IGMP Query function to filter out unnecessary messages and prevent overloading the control device.

The LMS is available in versions offering 8TX, 4TX/2FX (multimode fiber), and 4TX/2FX (single-mode fiber). Additional features are redundant power connection, port mirroring, and configurable alarm contacts for power supply and link monitoring. The switch operates in an extended temperature range rating of -40 to 70 deg C.
