GE Fanuc: low power, extended temperature SBC
Promising "high performance with low power consumption," GE Fanuc Automation Americas Inc., introduced a new 6U-style, single-slot VME single-board computer (SBC) at ElectronicaUSA.
Available for shipment in April, GE Fanuc’s VMIVME-7700 includes one watchdog, two 16-bit, and two 32-bit timers—all software programmable.
Promising “high performance with low power consumption,” GE Fanuc Automation Americas Inc ., introduced a new 6U-style, single-slot VME single-board computer (SBC) at ElectronicaUSA. Wide operating temperature range from–20 to 70 °C is also featured on VMIVME-7700, making the board well suited for harsh embedded environments.
Based on an Intel Ultra Low Voltage Celeron processor and 815E chipset, VMIVME-7700 is available at 400 or 650 MHz and includes a 100 MHz system bus. Among the board’s numerous features are up to 1 GB CompactFlash; up to 512 MB SDRAM; two ports each for 10/100TX Ethernet, USB 1.1, and high-performance 16550-compatible serial; and Ultra DMA/100 hard drive and floppy drive controllers.
