Charlottesville, Va – GE Fanuc Automation has released Cimplicity HMI Plant Edition Version 6.0. This version features SQL 2000 and VCR-like screen playback capabilities as well as view, alarm, and paging enhancements.

“Cimplicity HMI Plant Edition continues to be a cornerstone for innovative automation solutions,” said Kevin Roach, vp of GE Fanuc. “This new version leverages the latest Microsoft technologies and provides an infrastructure for data collection, visualization of aggregated data, and manufacturing intelligence to empower a manufacturer’s workforce and reduce downtime and scrap while driving productivity.”

Visual Cimplicity Replay (VCR) allows users to play back historical logged data through their graphic screens via a virtual remote. When combined with Cimplicity SQL 2000 users can analyze production and process problems for greater manufacturing uptime.

New alarming technology features a historical viewer, class enhancements, sound extension, and dynamic value updates in the alarm display. Additionally, view capabilities have been enhanced for point description visibility and thumbnail support. Other features include: support for Microsoft Windows XP, electronic documentation in HTML format, and OPC client communication enhancements.
