General manager appointed for vision group

Thomas Lübkemeier was named General Manager for the European Machine Vision Association.

The European Machine Vision Association has appointed Thomas Lübkemeier General Manager for the EMVA, effective Jan. 1. He takes over the responsibilities from Cor Maas, who served the position on a provisional basis from July to December, 2012. 

Lübkemeier joined EMVA in 2008. He joined while being responsible for a machine vision system and solution provider located in Germany. 

Lübkemeier holds a Masters degree in Automation Engineering and has spent his professional life in the Industrial Automation area. Being a Sales and Marketing professional, his main focus has been the international business development in various regions of the world including being stationed abroad. Lübkemeier developed his management and leadership skills by founding and directing sales organizations in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America. In Germany he managed international sales departments and performed in key accounting and product management. 

More recently Lübkemeier provided consultancy and executive search services to local and international clients.
