Harmonic filters curb distortion
Advanced harmonic filters optimize drive performance by reducing harmonics despite background disturbances, such as phase unbalance and background voltage distortion.
Advanced harmonic filters optimize drive performance by reducing harmonics despite background disturbances, such as phase unbalance and background voltage distortion. AHF Series 005 reduces total harmonic current distortion (THiD) to less than 5% to provide performance similar to that of an 18-pulse drive. Filters suppress total harmonic voltage distortion (THvD) to levels lower than that achievable with 18-pulse drives, which simply transfer harmonics to a higher frequency. AHF Series 010 reduces THiD to less than 10%. Compact housing is easily integrated into existing panel space. Set up is simple. No balancing, routine maintenance, or specialized start-up is required.
