Norwood, Mass.- ADMC401 is a mixed-signal, embedded, digital signal processor (DSP)-based motor controller. The product is said to be particularly well-suited for high-end industrial servo control, high-precision factory automation systems, machine tools, robotics, and uninterruptable power supplies. The ADMC401 combines a 16-bit, fixed-point DSP capable of processing up to 26 million instructions per secwith a high-resolution, simultaneous-sampling 12-bit, analog-to-digital converter and peripherals on one circuit. This system also permits up to eight dedicated analog inputs to be converted in less than 2 micro-sec through a high- resolution 12-bit pipeline flash ADC.
