Datakey Electronics, Inc. has released a patent-pending line of immersion-rated receptacles to compliment its data carriers. The SR4310 receptacles are available in IP-66 (splash-proof), IP-67 (immersion-rated), and IP-67-EMI (immersion-rated, EMI reduction) versions. The products provide a portable memory system that offers protection in wash-down or outdoor applications where the device is exposed to dust, water, rain, and chemicals. The series is an off-the-shelf extension of the company’s mating receptacle family, and uses the 50,000-cycle contact system proven in harsh military, medical, and industrial environments. Four industry-standard interface options and memory capacities from 1 kbit to 1GB are available. The outer shell may be ordered in highly-conductive plastic for additional EMI protection. www.datakeyelectronics.com Datakey Electronics
