Industry partnership #1: Adaptive Instruments and Honeywell link for wireless instrumentation

Adaptive Instruments Corp ., a supplier of industrial wireless process instrumentation and communication protocols has entered into a manufacturing license agreement with Honeywell Process Solutions in support of Honeywell’s OneWireless program. This will increase manufacturing capacity for the XYR 5000 platform and individual instrumentation devices as market acceptance grows.

The agreement includes provisions to share Adaptive’s design and manufacturing know-how under its Accutech label,ulting from this agreement are expected to come off the assembly lines before the end of 2007.

Both companies expect to see benefits from the relationship, allowing each to capitalize on its individual strengths. These will include improved supply chain response for Honeywell in supporting the XYR platform as well as an increase in the availability of new asset management and product solutions using industrial wireless platforms from both Honeywell and Accutech.
