PC Eyebot includes a texture inspection mode. Using patented technology for feature recognition, the device “learns” and stores pattern or texture features, then inspects products for defects at full production rates. Features include edges or simple shapes that represent the characteristics of the object under inspection. PC Eyebot trains quickly without programming and often can inspect without special lighting or triggers. It tolerates clutter, changing backgrounds, and lighting variations in many cases.
