DR-38M intelligent bipolar microstep driver operates from a single 24-40 V power supply input and delivers 4 A output. It includes features found in high-cost controllers, such as CW and CCW limit inputs, speed-sensed fast/slow decay, and ramped jog speed inputs. Step choices range between high-torque, full-step and smooth 1/8 microstep. An encoder option converts step and direction signals to quadrature inputs for shuttle control applications. The removable RS-232 adapter is useful to customize configuration memory or it can be left attached for additional input features.
