Houston, TX— Control Engineering held a 1950s-style party to celebrate its 50th year of publication at the end of ISA Expo 2004 ’s second day at the Reliant Center.

The event was attended by 135 guests from 44 companies, who dined on “era-appropriate comfort food,” such as crust-less peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, stuffed celery, and hotdogs and hamburgers.

The guests, including dozens of ISA Expo’s exhibitors and visitors, also participated in a hula-hoop contest. Winners were chosen by audience acclaim.

Tina Miteko, GarrettCom’s marketing programs manager, won first place. Liz Petranella, of the HART Communication Foundation, took second place.

Here are some photos from the event, including on-site hula hoop action.
