Banner Engineering's Q3X laser contrast sensor has the ability to detect up to 2,000 events per second and is designed for high-speed packaging and detecting small target applications. Courtesy: Banner EngineeringBanner Engineering’s Q3X laser contrast sensor has the ability to detect up to 2,000 events per second and is designed to detect parts, tools, pallets, or registration marks with small contrast differences in stamping and machining centers. The Q3X features speeds as fast as 250 μs and has a sensing range up to 300 mm. It is designed for high-speed packaging and detecting small target applications like registration marks on packaging, or verifying placement of black gaskets and O-rings on machined metal parts. The Q3X features an angled, three-digit display of signal intensity and provides high visibility of operating conditions from multiple angles. The Q3X is designed with nickel-plated zinc die cast housing and can function in environments with exposure to cutting fluids and oils. The sensors are also rated to IP67, IP68 and IP69K for enhanced protection to water submergence and high-pressure washdown.
