Banner Engineering’s Q4X laser distance sensor features precise measurement and a laser spot designed for detecting small features. It is featured in 100 mm models optimized for detecting height changes and positioning with greater accuracy. The Q4X sensors are equipped with bipolar discrete (NPN and PNP) and analog output options. It can detect objects as thin as 0.5 mm with high resolution. The Q4X is ideal for difficult distance-based sensing applications as it detects objects regardless of target surface reflectivity such as black foam on black plastic, black rubber in front of metal, multicolor packaging, and targets of all colors. Featured with dual teach mode, discrete Q4X sensors can detect clear objects or changes in signal intensity due to changing color or reflectivity.
