Laser senses distance

RotoScan works like an optical surface radar scanning the environment within a designated zone. An object entering the zone reflects light triggering an output signal. RotoScan has two zones of differing sizes.

Rockaway, N.J. —RotoScan laser distance sensors are useful in personnel and equipment protection situations. RotoScan works like an optical surface radar scanning the environment within a designated zone. An object entering the zone reflects light triggering an output signal. RotoScan has two zones of differing sizes. Each zone can be defined independently allowing a graduated safety system—say a warning and an alarm zone. RS3 has a range of 4.5 meters. The product is said to meet Catagory 4 level of safety.
