Burlington, MAAspen Technology Inc ., a provider of software and services to the process industries, announced earlier this month that it is relocating its worldwide corporate headquarters from Cambridge, MA, to Burlington, MA, “to help the company meet its hiring and recruitment objectives.”

“Our business required a newer and larger facility to accommodate our changing company needs,” said Mark Fusco, CEO of AspenTech. “This new location and the benefits of a modern facility will assist us in recruiting the most talented employees and building and sustaining an operating structure that keeps pace with the growth and breadth of our business.”

AspenTech told Control Engineering that new headquarters is better for recruiting because of:
-More usable space, since the bathrooms, elevators, etc., are in common building space, as opposed to layout at the Cambridge location;
-About a 25% increase in employee space;
-Newer infrastructure with a more open environment; and
-Better location, with more accessibility from major highways.

The company is leasing the building from The Gutierrez Co.; terms were not disclosed.

AspenTech says it is a leading provider of award-winning process optimization software and services. Integrated aspenOne solutions enable manufacturers to reduce costs, increase capacity, and optimize operational performance end-to-end throughout the engineering, plant operations, and supply chain management processes, resulting in millions of dollars in cost savings, the company says.

New address is AspenTech, 200 Wheeler Road, Burlington, MA 01803; Phone 781-221-6400.
