Austin, TX— National Instruments (NI) recently launched its new Motion Hardware Driver Development Kit. Engineers, who were once limited to developing motion control applications on the Windows platform, can use the kit to create embedded motion systems in varied platforms such as Linux, VxWorks and RTX.

The driver development kit includes a comprehensive manual to help engineers create the necessary software interface for using NI motion hardware on their platform of choice. The manual also offers low-level details and directions for communication with NI 733x, 734x and 735x motion controllers.

For engineers, whors offer high-level functions, similar to those in the existing NI-Motion Windows driver, that engineers can use to quickly get their applications up and running. By using predeveloped drivers, engineers can save time and resources, while integrating the advanced functionality of NI motion technology into their systems.
