Nyquist Industrial Control has extended the range of its products with NYCe4000—a rugged, high-end, industrial motion control system with integrated drive technology. To reduce space requirements, save on cabling, and cut system/integration costs, all system elements needed to control a complex machine are included in one box. NYCe4000 Motion Control System targets applications with low-power servo and stepper axes driven by motors with up to 500 W power and users who place high demand on motion-control.
Nyquist’s NYCe 4000 system combines motion control, drive, and I/O functions in one unit.
Physically smaller than a compact industrial PC, one NYCEe4000 unit offers full motion control for up to 10 axes, with a maximum of 62 units in a network. It accommodates a total of 100 digital inputs/outputs and 20 analog I/O points. NYCe4000 features object-oriented path control programming and comes with an extensive software package for high-level, multi-axis control, including configurable safety functions and tools for system tuning and diagnostics.
Combining high-speed motion control with drive functions and inputs/outputs in one box results in less cabling, lower system and integration costs, plus extended uptime and improved serviceability, says Nyquist. The non-traditional architecture saves considerable space and goes hand in hand with a modular machine concept. It’s an open architecture, PC-based and includes distributed FireWire cable (IEEE-1394).
NYCe4000 meets UL and EMC standards and supports a variety of measurement systems, including encoders (traditional and SinCos types), LVDT systems, and others.
