Pittsburgh, PA – MSA’s Custom Products group has developed a new oxygen monitoring system for use in nitrogen blanketing applications. The system is designed to monitor oxygen levels in the headspace of vessels and equipment where nitrogen blanketing (purging) is performed, to ensure the effectiveness of the blanketing process. The system consists of the developer’s Ultima gas monitor with internal relays, a specially designed low oxygen/solvent-tolerant sensor, flowmeter, sample/calibration valve, air/N2 aspirator, and LO/HI relays. Both 0-25% and 0-10% range oxygen sensors are available. The system is offered in explosion-proof, intrinsically safe, and NEMA-4 enclosures.
