Chicago, Ill .-Pneutronics’ (Hollis, N.H.) new X-Valve at 8 mm in width is said to be the world’s smallest valve. Incorporating all functional features in one molded body simplifies design and reduces components. This means fewer potential leak points. The valve can handle 0 – 30 psig with a response time of & 20 msec. Further explained in the March 6 interview at National Manufacturing Week, X-System uses elastomer-based components to provide a light-weight, durable, screwless manifold.
