Hillard, O . – Model 242 is a pocket-size meter that can be used for checking and monitoring vibration on all types of rotating machinery, including blowers, fans, motors, turbines, pumps, and similar devices prone to vibration-induced damage. The battery-powered Model 242 can be used to provide reliable vibration trending data to support machine maintenance and early detection of problems. Using easy pushbutton operation, users can immediately read vibration amounts in velocity, displacement, or acceleration. A large LCD for display of amplitude readings is featured. Reading is held for 60 sec after release of the ”measure” button. Automatic power shutoff is also featured.
