ProSoft has branded and sold Locus’ radio as its RadioLinx product line for the past three years. The company adds that, not only will the acquisition allow it to continue growing this product line, but will also allow it to expand its wireless technology products to meet more customers’ needs.
“We’re extremely excited about the growth avenues that will be available to us with the acquisition of Locus’ industrial radio product line,” says Douglas Sharratt, ProSoft’s president. “Watch for an explosive launch of products in the coming year as we leverage off the strong RF design capabilities of the Locus team.”
Besides its existing Locus/RadioLinx products, ProSoft plans to pursue future wireless development of its in-chassis PLC communication products and its standalone communication gateways. Standalone ProLinx communication gateways will be available through the firm’s existing representative channel, while the inRAx and ProTalk wireless products will continue to be sold through their respective distribution channels.
