RAID controller for Compact PCI

It is used for storage systems where RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is required. CPCI-944 supports three UltraSCSI channels with up to 15 SCSI devices each. New Haven, Conn.— CPCI-944 UltraSCSI RAID controller is designed for embedded applications requiring high disk throughput. It is used for storage systems where RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is required. CPCI-944 supports three UltraSCSI channels with up to 15 SCSI devices each. The firmware resides in flash EEPROM. When the system is started, the firmware is copied into RAM and executed from there. CPCI-944 supports disk caching with up to 128 Mbytes of Extended Data Out (EDO) RAM. Also offered is Mylex’s Global Array Manager 2.1, an integrated RAID management software package. With this, network managers and users can remotely monitor, configure, manage, and add storage to RAID systems via the Internet or company intranet.
