MRHQ rotary air gripper from SMC Corp. integrates gripping and rotating functions to save space and simplify wiring and piping. Vane style rotary drive mechanism is said to allow a compact cross section to enable access into tight spaces. Gripper jaws use high-precision, high-rigidity ball bearing guides. Device is available in four sizes with a range of gripping forces and rotation angles. Double and single-acting (with spring extend or retract) versions are available. Gripping forces range to 140 N. Maximum operation frequency is 180 cycles per minute. Mounting holes on all sides permit installation from almost any angle.
