Engineers need to wade through a sea of part-change notifications from various manufacturers and vendors, looking for end-of-life notifications for parts in their designs, a process that can be time consuming and error prone.

EMA Design Automation, which provides electronic design automation (EDA) solutions, announced availability of products and services provided by PCNAlert for component event management that allows customers to receive manufacturers’ part change notices in a timely fashion. PCNAlert ranks the manufacturers based on the manufacturer’s notification process and checks URLs for posted notices to provide various services.
