Alpharetta, GA – Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc ., has entered into a select supplier agreement with Minneapolis-based Cargill, Inc ., becoming a select provider of electrical and industrial control products and systems to Cargill’s North American businesses. Cargill is a diversified international marketer, processor and distributor of agricultural, food, financial and industrial products and services.

The agreement is for three years with renewal provisions for six additional years. Siemens has had a similar agreement in place for Cargill’s European operations for more than three years.

Cargill chose Siemens because of its ability to supply an entire range of products and systems, all optimized for integration in a plant-wide control system. These products include motor control centers, NEMA and IEC motor controls, drives, PLCs, sensors, machine safety systems, HMI and process automation systems. Cargill also considered issues related to reliability, total cost of ownership, performance, sales, service and E-commerce capability.
