Microsoft Windows-based configuration tool from Teleflex is intended for the CANtrak range of large-format, automotive-grade LCD HMIs. Software allows application specific instrumentation gauges to be created for handling SAE J1939-compatible CANbus engine data for use in vehicles or on diesel-engine-powered equipment such as pumps and compressors. Program also supports NMEA 2000, the protocol used for GPS navigational devices. Graphical displays can be created in minutes without any real-time programming. Built-in simulation facilities allow immediate testing. Tool is said to be well suited for OEMs who build in smaller quantities and need a faster, cost effective way to create dedicated instrumentation solutions.
