Take AIM: System integrators, others get RFID, bar-code training

By Control Engineering Staff December 7, 2006

AIM North America (NA), the regional chapter of AIM Global, plans an educational program to help increase sales and maximize profits. The group represents resellers, system integrators, and distributors in the automatic identification and mobility industries.

The Channel Forum is a one-day event held in conjunction with the AIM Showcase in Tampa, FL, Feb. 26-27, 2007. The first day offers education for resellers, integrators, and distributors of barcode, RFID, POS, and mobile computing technologies, covering markets, standards, business opportunities, and anticipated challenges.

The program includes Paul Chang, worldwide manager, sensor & actuator strategy for IBM, discussing healthcare opportunities and challenges for the AIM market. On day two, end-users share success stories and challenges. There’s also training to work toward RFID certification.
