Tektronix sells optical test product lines to Digital Lightwave

Beaverton, OR— Tektronix Inc. Digital Lightwave (Clearwater, FL) for $10 million in cash. Tektronix is also is transferring the lease on its Chelmsford, MA-based manufacturing facility to Digital Lightwave.

Tektronix reports that it is selling its OTS products to strategically align its resources and refine its optical strategy to meet the needs of customers in research and development applications for the optical test market.

Digital Lightwave reports that it provides the global communications networking industry with products, technology and services that enable efficient development, deployment and management of high-performance networks. Its customers include companies that deploy networks, develop networking equipment and manage networks.
