Marion, IN – VIA Development has released revision 16 of its VIA Wiring Diagram electrical design and drafting software application designed to work as an add-on to AutoDesk’s AutoCAD. For those customers not wanting to purchase AutoCAD, VIA licenses and includes the Auto-CAD engine in a stand-alone, full-function version of VIA Wiring Diagram. Revision 16 includes over 200 new features and enhancements, including the ability to publish and interact with drawings via the Internet; unlimited ladders per drawing; horizontal or vertical ladder orientations; ability to add a new ladder at any time, even on an existing drawing; and multiple ladder widths and rung spacing on the same drawing. Other key features include in revision 16 are line reference support for X-zone and X-Y grid reference modes; automatic X-Y axis setup; non-ladder, point-to-point drafting; ability to use ex-isting drawing format/title block with no changes; auto scaleable to metric units; renumbering of ladder references at any time; and support for embedded alphas and leading zeros.
