Integrated and compact power system
ePanda eDrive for low-voltage applications. Designed as a propel solution for mobile elevating work platforms, the ePanda eDrive is an integrated compact power system comprising an electric motor, microcontroller unit, and reduction gearbox that maximizes efficiency, reliability, and safety. The eDrive joins the ePowerpack in Danfoss’ ePanda series of products for low-voltage electrification. The ePanda eDrive’s permanent magnet synchronous motor maximizes propel system efficiency, reducing battery consumption and thereby extending machine runtime.
OmniCore Robot Controller
The OmniCore robot controller platform, the result of more than $170 million of investment in next generation robotics, is a step change to a modular and futureproof control architecture that will enable the full integration of AI, sensor, cloud and edge computing systems to create the most advanced and autonomous robotic applications. OmniCore’s class-leading motion performance delivers robot path accuracy at a level of less than 0.6mm, with multiple robots running at high speeds of up to 1,600mm per second. This opens new automation opportunities in precision areas such as arc welding, mobile phone display assembly, gluing and laser cutting. Overall, OmniCore enables robots to operate up to 25 percent faster and to consume up to 20 percent less energy compared to the previous ABB controller. OmniCore is built on a scalable, modular control architecture that offers a wide array of functions to create almost any application imaginable, making it suitable for businesses embracing automation in existing and new segments, such as biotechnology and construction, amongst many others.
Flowmeter for water and wastewater applications
The new ABB flowmeter offers robust and simplified solution for water and wastewater applications. The ProcessMaster FEW630 is a new robust and easy to use electromagnetic flowmeter for municipal and industrial water and wastewater flow measurement. It has easy setup and operation minimize commissioning time and overcome skills barriers.
ACH580 UL Type 4X drive
Introducing the ACH580 4X variable frequency drive (VFD), a new addition to ABB’s all-compatible drive portfolio that is built for outdoor installation and extreme environments in the HVACR industry. Certification to UL Type 4X (NEMA 4X and IP66 rating) ensures protection against rain, cold, snow, salt spray, and dust as well as corrosion due to caustic chemicals, gases, and damage from the formation of exterior ice, high levels of humidity or UV radiation. Purpose-built for HVACR, the ACH580 4X drive incorporates features like flying start for seamless control of spinning motors, multi-pump control for enhanced system efficiency, freezestat response, resonance monitoring, and an override capability for fire emergencies. Convenient options include a built-in disconnect switch to streamline installation and eliminate the need for branch circuit fuses (while maintaining a 100 kA SCCR), as well as a sun shield to help maintain optimal performance when exposed to direct sunlight. "All customers in the HVACR industry need robust and reliable equipment, but there are situations where the drive needs outside installation, near the application, subject to extreme environments,” says Mario Lemarroy, Product Market Manager, at ABB.
AquaMaster4 Mobile Comms
ABB’s AquaMaster4 Mobile Comms flowmeter is world’s first electromagnetic flowmeter with bidirectional connectivity to power intelligent water loss management. With AquaMaster4 Mobile Comms, ABB presents the latest wireless solution for continuous flow measurement, the logging of accurate data and communication of information that is critical for today’s water management. With its superior connectivity on 4G-LTE and NB-IoT networks, the AquaMaster4 electromagnetic flowmeter enables 60 percent lower power consumption, identifying leaks ten times faster than the market standard.
