CX5600 Embedded PC series
The CX5600 Embedded PC series expands Beckhoff’s workhorse machine control line with powerful AMD Ryzen processors, additional interfaces and operating system options. Retaining the same form factor as previous generations, these DIN rail-mounted embedded PCs provide the flexibility to support an even greater range of applications that require PLC, HMI, motion control and much more. The CX5600 series currently includes two device versions, both with AMD Ryzen™ processors: CX5620 (1.2 GHz) and CX5630 (2.0 GHz). Beyond low power consumption, the fanless embedded PCs deliver many standard features. The system can be expanded on the left-hand side with a CX2500 module.
ELX6233 EtherCAT Terminal for Ethernet-APL
To fully support digitalization in process industry applications, Beckhoff is making it easier to leverage Ethernet-APL with the ELX6233 EtherCAT Terminal. This compact, dual-channel communication interface simplifies integration of field devices in the hazardous areas of zones 0/20 and 1/21. The compact I/O terminal extends the proven combination of Beckhoff’s flexible EtherCAT system architecture and the intrinsically safe ELX portfolio to Ethernet-APL, in addition to HART or simple digital signals. The rise of digitalization, especially for plant diagnostics and monitoring, remains a major topic in the process industry, and Beckhoff has focused on new solutions to advance this goal.
C6040 ultra-compact Industrial PC
With the new C6040 ultra-compact industrial PC (IPC), Beckhoff is adding further scalability in terms of power and interface options to its proven C60xx series. Leveraging 12th Gen Intel Core processors with up to 16 cores, the controller is ideal for handling extremely complex automation projects in one ruggedized controller measuring just 132 x 202 x 76 mm. As such, the C6040 enables a range of new applications for the popular C60xx family. This includes even greater capabilities for sophisticated multi-axis motion, complex HMI applications and systems with extremely short cycle times.
Beckhoff Vision
With Beckhoff Vision, engineers can see what’s possible when machine vision hardware and automation software are perfectly matched. This comprehensive line of EtherCAT-enabled industrial cameras, lighting and lensing components are paired with proven TwinCAT Vision software to round out a complete product portfolio. The new Beckhoff Vision hardware includes area scan cameras, C-mount lenses, multicolor LED illumination and complete vision units. Whether used as components or an entire machine vision system, the Vision product portfolio meets industrial requirements perfectly. The power of this solution is evidenced by the industry acclaim earned even before full release.
PS2000 Power Supplies with EtherCAT Interface
Beckhoff Integrates EtherCAT Interface Directly into Power Supplies Beckhoff has expanded its broad portfolio of PS power supplies with the new PS2000 device series featuring a built-in EtherCAT interface. The PS2000 power supplies can remotely collect additional measurement and device diagnostics for comprehensive system monitoring, which can increase availability and reduce downtime. As a result, the feature-filled power supplies combine compact design and high performance with predictive maintenance functionality for the first time. The new PS2000 variants combine high-performance power supply units from Beckhoff with the ultra-fast EtherCAT communication standard.
TwinCAT MTP
With the new TwinCAT MTP, TwinCAT automation software from Beckhoff helps create Module Type Package (MTP) projects with automatic code generation. This paves the way for efficient software module development integrated into the TwinCAT engineering environment. As a modern solution for modularizing plants in the pharmaceutical, biotech and other process industries, MTP defines an interface for easily orchestrating and connecting modules to a higher-level control system.The MTP concept is based around intelligent modules with their own control system.
TwinCAT Cogging Compensation for AL8000 linear motors
The highly dynamic AL8000 linear motors from Beckhoff now meet even greater requirements for accuracy and synchronization with the new TwinCAT Cogging Compensation software. This makes the linear motors particularly suitable for high-precision applications such as milling machines or laser cutting machines. The cogging compensation software makes use of machine learning, which is seamlessly integrated into TwinCAT and applied on a fully automated basis (Engineering TE5920, Runtime TF5920).Beyond eliminating cogging forces in the AL8000 motors themselves, TwinCAT Cogging Compensation software accounts not only for magnetic effects but also factors related to mechanical design or energy chains.
ATRO – Automation Technology for Robotics
With ATRO, Beckhoff presents a breakthrough concept for robotics applications. This modular system enables extreme flexibility in robot kinematics to fit essentially any application with payloads up to 10 kg and reach of up to 1.3 meters. With ATRO, users can select the exact number of axes required and quickly assemble the exact robot or cobot needed for their application.
MX-System
The MX-System from Beckhoff is a flexible, space-saving and intelligent automation hardware system that can completely replace conventional control cabinets, creating entirely new levels of efficiency in plant automation. Control system installation processes that normally took 24 hours or more can now be completed in just one hour. As a modular control cabinet replacement that can also be decentralized on the machine if required, the MX-System saves engineering, assembly, installation and maintenance efforts.
XTS No Cable Technology (NCT)
Beckhoff is taking the next step in mechatronics flexibility with No Cable Technology (NCT), a major extension of its proven eXtended Transport System (XTS). NCT provides contactless power supply and synchronous real-time data communication directly to XTS movers. This solution enables individual movers to serve as mobile handling and processing stations, essentially turning the intelligent transport system into a powerful, highly flexible multi-robot system.
